Positive Activities for
Young People (PAYP)

Sick of doing the same things?
Want to try something different, need a challenge?

PAYP provides a wide range of developmental activities to young people 8-19 years. Recent activities include: Kick boxing, Kayaking, Go-Karting, Manga art, Film and Dance, DJ-ing with Professionals … (the list goes on).

Need a little extra help?
If you or someone you know needs some extra support in accessing activities in Camden, PAYP provides key workers who will listen to you to design activities around your interests. Speak to your school or Connexions PA or any service you’re involved with and get them to contact jon.burke@camden.gov.uk

WAC (Weekend Arts College)

Training for young people in the performing and media arts. WAC is
an accredited centre for NVQs and works to provide young people who are marginalised with access to all its programmes providing training opportunities in the creative and cultural industries for 600 young people
a year. Wide range of holiday activities and playschemes.

Samuel Lithgow

After school club (5-12 years), Transitions Project (8-13 years), Senior Youth Club (13-19 years). Senior activities include healthy heart sessions, Tai Chi and general fitness. Gym available free of charge (13-19 years). The Regents Park Play Project use the same building. A Charitable Limited Company.

SCYAP (South Camden Youth Access Point)
82-84 Cromer Street, WC1H 8DG

Offers a variety of youth activities for the area south of the Euston Road. Includes computer sessions, sports, group work, jobs and training and community projects. Offers youth workers, Connexions Personal Adviser and a Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP) worker. Victims of race/faith hate crime can report it on this number and the staff will pass
the information to the police.

Winchester Project

The Winchester Project provides a range of activities for young people with the aim of helping their personal development and social education. This is done via a range of services which include: a general youth club a girls-only youth club an after-school club a community sports programme and off-road training. The Project also provides room for hire and runs holiday playschemes.

London tigers
Holborn and Somers town

Sports and youth charity providing opportunities for hard to reach groups of young people to develop skills and healthy lifestyles through sport. Various projects including a football league, a volunteer development programme, a healthy living centre and a girls' project.
