Joey Sims - Film/TV Critic and reviewer
|
|
|

|
Hi, my name is Joey and I’ll be taking up the post of film/TV reviewer for
C-World. From a young
age I’ve had a strong interest in all kinds of films – old or new, action or drama, period or futuristic
– which has never shown any signs of diminishing. I go to the cinema at least once a week (except
in the dry periods) and also watch a lot of films at home through the wonders of the DVD. In my
reviews I hope to cover a whole range of cinematic tastes by giving my views on both the biggest
blockbusters and the smaller, arthouse releases. I also watch lots of TV whenever I can and will
give my impressions on whatever series happen to catch my eye. I hope you’ll find my reviews
interesting; if they’re at least marginally more so than watching paint dry, my mission will have
been accomplished.

Hey there, My name is Aneira and I'm going to be writing random articles for C-world. I basically heard of the site through references from youth work, and decided to get involved because it's a pretty good opportunity to voice your own opinions and I reckon it's quite class that Camden Youth have their own site … not bad, not bad at all. Plus it's not boring and restrictive as there's no strict specification attached so you can write articles on things that matter to you ... Anyways, Adios for now and no doubt you'll be hearing from me soon … I can feel the excitement …

Hello! My name is Carlos. I´m from Miranda (near Caracas) in Venezuela.
In 2005 I spent my summer holidays in
London and joined a film-making workshop organised by Camden Summer University (CSU). I love films, and my other hobbies are drawing and music. I currently attend Simón Bolívar University (USB), studying Architecture &
Urban Planning. I like the science-art duality so I decided to write some reviews for C-World as a way to
keep in touch with the arts. My alter ego by the way is called Krluxo (Carluccio) hehe. Hope all you readers enjoy
this website the way I do. Keep in touch! |

Hello my name is Tania. I am 21 years of age and a student at Greenwich university. Besides being the young
mummy of a five year old little boy, I am a highly motivated person and truly believe that having children is not a
reason to be held back in life but it pushes you forward to strive for better things for your family. Because of this I
am currently working hard to set up an organisation for young parents and young people to access equal
opportunities and information to all the wonderful existing projects.
I left home at a very young age but was fortunate enough to be in touch with some great youth workers from
drop-in centres and other organisations; they helped me stay in education and build up my confidence and
encourage me to be ambitious and achieve my dreams. However along the way I’ve also met many young
people who were not as fortunate and they were not aware of the possibilities available to them. Realising how
fortunate I have been, I’ve decided to create a niche project to help young parents maximize their potential and
opportunities in life.
Thus I will be writing regular entries about my progress with the setting-up of the project so please feel free to
drop me an e-mail if you have any queries, maybe about setting up your own community project. It doesn't
necessarily have to be related to what I'm doing but I will be happy to help. You can also contact me if you think
you can contribute to the project in any way or if any of these issues are related to you. |

Hey, I'm Nastaran. I'm 14 and I live in Camden. I decided to join c-world because I like the idea of being able to voice my opinions on things. I'm currently at Parliament Hill School, and let’s just say I sometimes come across as too opinionated in class discussions, so I figured joining c-world would be a more suitable place for me to express my views. My hobbies are playing badminton, listening to music and being with my friends. I'd probably write a review on pretty much anything, seeing as I always have something to say whether it’s about a music video, a film, or just an other episode of Eastenders. Honestly, I can't wait to get started! |

I’m Layla Haidrani and I’m 16 years old. I love to write and hope to pursue a career in journalism. I’m going to be writing some various articles for C-world on anything from the community to reviewing a book. I’ve been part of a youth club for two years which I love and I help organise projects and activities. C-world gives me a great opportunity to express my views and gives me a chance to have some published writing! |
